Hello, my name is Taylor Soetje,
I am originally from Santa Clara, CA.
in 2014 I graduated Santa Clara High School and attended Mission College. My passion for animals and desire to work with dogs drove me to move to Riverside, Calif. where I enrolled in an intensive, hands on, Basic Dog Training Academy. I worked with a variety of breeds and temperaments. At the Academy I was trained to recognize and learn:
All breed problem solving and obedience
Home manners and management
Advance obedience and agility
After just 4 days in the Training Academy, the staff hired me to work further with the dogs by attending and assisting with in home training sessions and helping with vet tech duties within the Academy.
I graduated the Academy with a certification in dog training. After leaving the Academy,I began volunteering with Loyal K-9 to gain further skills in
Advance Canine Obedience Training and to fulfill my dream job of Personal Protection Training. Thank you Loyal K-9 for helping me with getting a job as a dog trainer at Petsmart.

Julia G. currently in the volunteer trainer program. She is spending many hours completing many learning experiences for her to become a well rounded and knowledgeable dog trainer to better her future as a dog trainer. Our volunteer class teaches kennel duties, dog safety, dog health, proper diet, transferring dogs from kennels to kennels, basic obedience on a 6' and 30' leash with multiple different breeds and ages, non-verbal commands, hand commands, commands in different languages, dog temperament and breed, customer interaction, dog temperament and much much more. We will teach you how to prepare for the AKC Canine Good Citizen course and begin you on training basic obedience on dogs.
Hi my name is David C. Marquez II. I was a firefighter and worked for Riverside County Cal Fire from 2000 to 2010 and now I’m medically retired. Before I was injured and retired, I’ve always had an infatuation with dog training and obedience. I went to (ABC) Animal Behavior College to pursue my other passion dog training and received my certification for dog obedience trainer. My goal as a dog trainer is to train all dogs, K9's and service dogs for (PTSD) Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and other disabilities. Why I chose to specialize in PTSD and other disabilities is because my dad has PTSD from the Vietnam war and the other disabilities because my niece who has cerebral palsy is confined to a wheelchair.
I was privileged to go to Detroit Lakes, Minnesota and worked with four veterans that have PTSD and have service dogs. I also met many other vets that have PTSD and already had their service dog trained. This program is fascinating to me and looking forward to working and volunteering with Loyal K-9 to further my passion of training service dogs.
